Hyaluronic acid injections

At Dr Franck Pourrez’s practice, in the heart of Nice’s Musiciens district, hyaluronic acid is mainly used to treat hollow under-eyes, nasolabial folds and loss of volume in the cheeks.

After assessing your face, Dr Pourrez adapts the technique and the amount of product to each area, for a natural result that leaves your features looking refreshed.

What is hyaluronic acid?

Hyaluronic acid is a molecule naturally present in the skin. It plays a key role in skin hydration, suppleness and density.
Over time, its concentration decreases, leading to sagging, wrinkles and loss of volume.

In aesthetic medicine, hyaluronic acid is injected as a soft, resorbable gel. It can fill, reshape or hydrate, while stimulating the skin’s natural collagen production.

Which areas can be treated with hyaluronic acid?

Hyaluronic acid is used to fill, rehydrate or reshape the volumes of the face, with visible, natural results.

The areas most often treated at the centre are:

  • Filling nasolabial folds
  • Correcting hollow under-eyes (tear trough)
  • Lifting the cheekbones
  • Redefining the jawline
  • Lip injections: see our page on lip enhancement in Nice
  • Reshaping the chin or temples
  • Deep hydration (skin booster)

Personalised care

For Dr Pourrez, the goal is never to transform a face, but to respect each person’s identity. Every injection is planned with discretion and a gradual approach: it is better to use just the right amount, topped up at a second appointment if needed, than to overdo it and have to correct it.

Every treatment begins with an in-depth medical consultation :

  • Analysis of the skin and facial structure
  • A personalised protocol
  • Explanations, medical photographs and a quote

👉 The procedure is then performed under strict aseptic conditions, with CE-certified VIVACY® products (Stylage®, Teosyal®, etc.).

Frequently asked questions

Discomfort is usually very mild. Hyaluronic acid often contains a local anaesthetic (lidocaine), and an anaesthetic cream can be applied beforehand.
The sensation varies depending on the area: the lips are a little more sensitive than the folds or cheekbones.

Yes, the result is visible immediately after the injection, although you need to wait a few days for the final result (as any slight swelling settles).
Hyaluronic acid attracts water: the volume stabilises within 4 to 7 days.

It depends on the area injected, the product used and each person’s metabolism.
On average:

  • 6 to 9 months for the lips
  • 9 to 12 months for folds or cheekbones
  • 12 to 18 months for some deeper areas (chin, jaw)

Yes. Hyaluronic acid is a resorbable and reversible product.
In case of over-correction or asymmetry, it can be dissolved with an enzyme called hyaluronidase.

No, hyaluronic acid injections do not act on the muscles like botulinum toxin does.
When performed correctly, they respect your expressions. The aim is to enhance your face, not to transform it.

At the practice, one syringe of hyaluronic acid costs €300 including VAT. The number of syringes depends on the area treated and the result you want.

Yes, when the under-eye area is hollow (tear trough). However, pigmented (brown) or vascular (bluish) dark circles cannot be corrected with injections.
Dr Pourrez assesses the type of dark circle during the consultation before suggesting a treatment.
